Business Development Manager | Managed Services + Security Solutions

Location: Tyneside (Hybrid – Home-based with regular office collaboration)

Compensation: Β£40–45k + bonus + full benefits package

A leading UK-based Managed IT and Cyber Security solutions provider is seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the SME market. This role focuses on the sales of Microsoft\’s Security suite.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively identify and secure new Cyber Security business opportunities in the SME sector
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline, delivering consistent results against targets
  • Research and engage potential customers through networking, events, and cold outreach
  • Develop tailored, consultative proposals that align with client challenges and compliance needs
  • Collaborate with technical teams to position security offerings effectively
  • Negotiate terms in line with company guidelines and ensure smooth handovers to account management
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM records
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales success, ideally within Cyber Security or Managed IT Services (Microsoft experience bonus)
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets
  • Skilled at selling to senior decision-makers and business owners
  • Consultative sales approach with strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience within the SME market segment preferred
