We’re hiring a Presales consultant to join a fast-growing Managed IT and Cloud Services provider, supporting clients across the UK with innovative, tailored technology solutions. This is a fully off-the-tools, consultative presales role — focused on solution design, customer engagement, and high-quality documentation rather than hands-on delivery.
The Opportunity
You’ll work at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy, partnering with Sales and Technical teams to design solutions that genuinely solve customer challenges and drive business outcomes. If you enjoy shaping deals, owning the design narrative, and engaging directly with customers — this is exactly that role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- End-to-end presales ownership: discovery → solution design → proposals → SOWs
- Partner closely with Sales to qualify opportunities and scope requirements
- Design tailored solutions across: Modern Workplace (Microsoft 365 / Intune / SharePoint / Azure), Cloud & Infrastructure, Networking & Security, Managed Services & Unified Communications
- Lead technical discovery workshops and customer conversations
- Deliver compelling presentations and demos to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Produce high-quality written documentation (proposals, designs, customer-facing content)
- Collaborate with internal SMEs (including dedicated network presales) for best-in-class solutions
- Stay current with vendor tech and certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Sophos, etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven experience in Presales / Solution Consulting / Sales Engineering (MSP or IT services ideal)
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Modern Workplace stack (M365, Azure) + broader infrastructure, networking & security
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate tech into business value
- Experience designing commercially aligned, customer-centric solutions
- Comfortable owning conversations with stakeholders and leading the solution narrative
Desirable:
- Vendor certifications (Microsoft - desirable)
- Experience working within MSP environments & SLA-driven services
- Background in consultancy or project delivery
Why Join?
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking, high-growth technology business that invests in its people, values expertise, and empowers you to make a real impact with customers. Interested? Apply now or message me directly to learn more.
