An established national provider of IT and cloud-based solutions is looking for an accomplished Commercial Director to take charge of their Sheffield branch. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine sharp commercial acumen with a forward-thinking, tech-enabled approach to drive revenue and lead transformation. Location: Sheffield-based | Flexible working with travel across the UK Package: £75,000 to £90,000 base + OTE of £130-180k + car allowance of £8k The Role As the senior figure in Sheffield, you’ll take full responsibility for driving sustainable growth—overseeing the entire commercial function including sales, account management, and business development. This role will suit someone comfortable operating with the board, or at board level, with a strong understanding of Managed Services, Modern Workspace; newer trends, such as AI; digital sales, and RevOps frameworks to boost performance. Build and lead a results-driven team across sales, customer success, and commercial operations Develop and implement market-facing strategies to meet ambitious growth targets Take ownership of regional revenue performance, margin, and profitability reporting Oversee key client relationships and support on major proposals and commercial bids Drive regional sales activity, identifying and winning new business across target sectors Introduce data-led selling and AI-powered tools to improve forecasting, targeting, and conversion Lead the adoption of digital-first thinking across the sales and customer journey Champion Revenue Operations principles to streamline alignment between sales, marketing, customer success and finance Work cross-functionally with technical delivery teams to ensure solutions are tailored, scalable, and client-focused Represent the Sheffield branch at group level and contribute to company-wide strategic direction Monitor competitive activity and emerging trends to inform local strategy and positioning Continuously assess and improve commercial and operational processes for greater efficiency What You’ll Bring to the Role… A proven track record in senior sales or commercial leadership, ideally within the tech, managed services, or IT space Deep understanding of complex B2B service environments and the full revenue lifecycle Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor multi-functional teams Strategic thinking combined with executional drive—you can set direction and deliver results Experience with AI-enabled tools, digital selling, and modern sales methodologies Commercially minded with confidence in financial oversight and EBITDA ownership Excellent relationship management skills, both internally and with key clients Ability to navigate cross-functional collaboration and influence at a senior level Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is beneficial A degree in Business, Technology, or a related subject is preferred Why This Role?
