We’re supporting a leading UK cybersecurity business that helps organisations design, build, and secure complex digital infrastructures across the globe. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a Network & Security Managed Services Engineer with strong specialisation in the Palo Alto Networks ecosystem to join their technical team.
This is a deep technical, Palo Alto-focused engineering role, where you’ll act as a specialist across customer environments — designing, supporting, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks solutions in complex managed service environments. You’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support, working across incident resolution, service requests, configuration changes, and ongoing platform optimisation.
Key Responsibilities- Technical onboarding of new customers (VPNs, configs, monitoring, documentation)
- Supporting and maintaining Palo Alto Networks NGFW environments
- Proactively identifying and resolving network/security issues
- Performing upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
- Managing escalations and vendor engagement where required
- Delivering high-quality service within strict SLA frameworks
- Keeping customers updated throughout incident resolution
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing Palo Alto best practice
- Driving continual service improvement initiatives
- Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies (NGFW + wider platform)
- Solid networking background (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Strong troubleshooting across complex network/security environments
- Experience in ITIL‑based environments with SLA ownership
- Experience with monitoring tools (SNMP / Zabbix or similar)
- Strong communication skills with customer‑facing confidence
- PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) or equivalent current certification
- SD‑WAN exposure (ideally Palo Alto ecosystem)
- Additional Palo Alto certifications (NGFW / SSE / etc.)
