We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Marketing & Sales Team and play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at IPEX, you will work closely with our Marketing and Sales Teams to convert marketing-driven engagement into high-quality appointments. Using a combination of outbound calling and multi-channel engagement, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, qualifying interest and securing meetings for the Sales Team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on calling leads generated from marketing campaigns (email, social media, paid campaigns, etc.) and prioritising activity based on our Engagement Scoring system (Low, Medium, High). While phone calls will be the primary method, you will also engage leads via email, WhatsApp, and other platforms where appropriate.

Knowledge of our core service areas – Hosted Telephony, Mobile, Connectivity, IT, and Security – is highly desirable, as it will help you to build trust and position IPEX effectively when speaking with decision makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact leads generated through Marketing campaigns, prioritising based on Engagement Scoring.
  • Proactively call prospective clients to qualify interest and secure appointments for the Sales Team.
  • Engage with prospects through multiple communication channels (phone, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Accurately record activity, conversations, and outcomes within HubSpot CRM.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and prospect insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of IPEX\’s solutions across Voice, Mobile, Connectivity, IT, Security, and Professional Services.
  • Achieve and exceed weekly/monthly KPIs for call activity, qualified meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
  • Represent IPEX in a professional, friendly, and consultative manner when engaging with prospects.
  • Communicate with IPEX\’s existing customers to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional solutions (e.g., Hosted Telephony, Mobile, Connectivity, IT Support, Cyber Security, etc.).
  • Build strong relationships with current customers by acting as an initial point of contact for identifying future needs and feeding opportunities into the Sales Team.
  • Support Account Managers by flagging customer requirements uncovered during lead generation activity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and customer challenges to tailor conversations and identify opportunities more effectively.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a lead generation, telesales, or business development role (B2B preferred).
  • Confident communicator with excellent phone manner and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using multi-channel outreach (phone, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hosted Telephony, Mobile, Connectivity, IT, or Security solutions highly advantageous.
  • Results-driven with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and enthusiasm to learn and grow within the business.
