This is a full-time remote role for a Database Administrator. The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining databases, designing database structures, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The role also involves ensuring database replication and optimizing database performance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with different teams to support the company's data needs and contribute to project requirements and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers and systems running MariaDB and other data systems.
- Manage database deployments, updates, and patches to ensure security and performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions.
- Resolve high-priority incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and drive improvements in service quality.
- Serve as a technical resource for platform and infrastructure services, maintaining detailed platform documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotation for out-of-hours support and incident response.
- Proficiency in Database Administration and Database Design, specifically in MariaDB and experience in Galera clustering.
- Strong skills in Databases and Replication techniques.
- Strong command line and Linux server management skills.
- Excellent Troubleshooting abilities.
- Understanding of data security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Experience with ElasticStack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Experience with ClickHouse.
- Experience with Ceph storage and managing large-scale storage environments.
