Business Application Manager Remote – £50,000 + excellent benefits
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global pharmaceutical transport and manufacturing business. As the Business Application Manager, you will be responsible for representing Operations for one or several IT-systems that are central in the company\’s operational model.
Your main task is to perform the delegated ownership of the system(s), which includes creating roadmaps, requirements for development, and supporting the organization with specialist competence for the application.
Role & Responsibilities
Delegated System Ownership:
- Understand the customer/organizational needs with regards to the system.
- Maintain a vision and development roadmap in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and management.
- Gather business cases and set priorities for development of features and functions.
- Ensure a balance in the roadmap between initiatives based on user feedback, products, and services development, platform maintenance, and strategic agenda.
- Document and prioritize changes, feature requests, and decisions in line with vision and roadmap.
- Capture needs and turn them into requirements for development.
- Build alignment with stakeholders around solution proposals.
- Write detailed requirement specifications and process flows.
- Ensure requirements are testable in User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide change management during implementation.
- Keep stakeholders informed.
- Create self-explanatory training material.
- Ensure user documentation and business-related routines are updated for future reference.
- Ensure solutions are developed in a way that is in line with company policies, laws, and regulations.
General System Support and Maintenance:
- Administer user rights.
- Maintain best practices for user groups for control of access.
- Manage new/change of users in accordance with IT support process.
- Ensure general training and documentation for the system is in place.
- Report status, KPIs, and discrepancies to the steering group.
- Follow up on business-related discrepancies.
- Monitor the quality of the information handled.
- Track the usage of the system.
- Maintain a constant dialogue with Superusers.
- Provide specialized competence within your system domain when requested by projects.
- Work as a team member to support and backup colleagues when needed.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with process, IT, and change management (3 years).
- Experience with data analysis or operations intelligence.
- Fluency in Office tools.
- Understanding of how user needs/requirements are translated into system development requests.
- Understanding of system development and data maintenance principles.
- Analytic mindset with the capability to handle large volumes of complex data.
- Independent execution and prioritization of multiple tasks and priorities.
- Technical writing skills.
Package
- £40,000-£50,000 depending on skills & experience.
