CDM Principal Designer Hybrid Manchester

Are you an experienced CDM Principal Designer looking to join a forward–thinking consultancy that prioritises collaboration, innovation, and professional development?

We’re working with a well–established construction safety consultancy that provides expert CDM and Principal Designer services across a diverse range of projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Principal Designer/CDM Consultant to join their Manchester–based team on a hybrid basis.

The Role

As a CDM Principal Designer, you will:

1. Provide expert CDM 2015 compliance advice to clients, designers, and contractors.
2. Undertake Principal Designer duties, ensuring H&S risk management is embedded from the pre–construction phase.
3. Conduct design risk reviews, liaising with architects and engineers to influence safer designs.
4. Work across a variety of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
5. Maintain strong client relationships and deliver bespoke CDM consultancy services.

About You

1. Proven experience as a Principal Designer/CDM Consultant within the construction industry.
2. Strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and associated health & safety legislation.
3. Background in architecture, engineering, construction health & safety, or similar.
4. Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction, APS Membership (IMaPS/CMaPS), or equivalent are desirable.
5. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence design teams and clients.

What’s On Offer?

GBP45,000 – GBP60,000 DOE
