We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Domiciliary Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals who live in their own homes in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly vulnerable adults. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those under your care, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
- Administer first aid as needed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organised living space for clients, ensuring their home is comfortable and welcoming.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living or senior care is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence and a vehicle is required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
