Chief Marketing Officer – Mobile Financial Services in Leicester

Base Salary: Up to £200,000 + bonus

We’re seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to lead the next stage of growth for a rapidly scaling mobile financial services business. This is a pivotal role for a proven marketing leader who blends strategic vision with deep technical expertise across data, performance, and brand.

The Role

As CMO, you’ll shape and execute the company’s marketing strategy—driving customer acquisition, retention, and engagement at scale. You’ll oversee a multidisciplinary team covering digital performance, brand, CRM, and data science, ensuring every marketing decision is grounded in measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a data-driven marketing strategy to accelerate growth across mobile and digital channels.
• Lead all aspects of customer lifecycle marketing—acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation.
• Oversee programmatic, paid social, and performance media campaigns that drive high-quality growth at scale.
• Shape and evolve the brand narrative, ensuring clear differentiation in a crowded fintech landscape.
• Partner with product and analytics to refine the growth funnel and enhance user engagement.
• Build and mentor a high-performing marketing organisation aligned to commercial goals.
• Represent marketing at Board level—translating data and insight into actionable business strategy.

About You

• A marketing leader with 10+ years’ experience driving growth for consumer fintech, neobank, or mobile-first financial platforms.
• Deep expertise in data analytics, programmatic buying, and performance marketing.
• Proven track record of scaling mobile businesses, ideally within regulated financial services.
• Strategic and creative in equal measure—able to balance storytelling with science.
• Experienced managing multi-million pound budgets and marketing teams across disciplines.
• Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and comfortable in a high-growth environment.
