Overview
Strategic Implementation Manager (maternity cover). We’re currently looking for a Manager, Strategic Implementation (maternity cover), ideally until 31 January 2027 to help us deliver our mission. This is a full time position, working 35 hours per week, with the end date subject to the duration of the maternity leave.
The Role
What will I be doing? You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:
- Acting as a departmental centre of excellence on good practice in project and programme management
- Providing programme and project management to a small number of large-scale flagship initiatives
- Operational delivery of the DfE-funded teacher training scholarships programme
- Line management of 2 individuals
Projects you may work on include:
- IOP teacher training scholarships programme
- Teaching Workforce and Workforce Skills reports across the nations
- Cross departmental project management
Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:
Essential:
- Experience of working in a project-based environment with significant internal and external stakeholder interest
- Experience leading large scale projects
- Management of project budgets, liaising with project and finance leads
Nice to have:
- Project management qualifications

How will I be working?
We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard. You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working. As an organization we meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.
