Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Research Integrity Administrator to join our Research Integrity team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you will provide essential administrative, operational and data management support, helping to ensure research integrity cases are managed accurately, efficiently and consistently. You will play a key role in maintaining case records, monitoring workflows, producing reports and supporting investigations that help uphold the quality and trustworthiness of published research. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a passion for accuracy and an interest in scholarly publishing and research integrity.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage and triage research integrity enquiries, notifications and whistleblower reports received through the team mailbox and other sources.
  • Create, maintain and track case records, ensuring accurate documentation throughout the case lifecycle.
  • Allocate cases and support workflow management to ensure timely progression and resolution.
  • Maintain high-quality case data, trackers and databases, carrying out routine quality assurance checks.
  • Produce operational reports, metrics and audit information to support decision-making and compliance activities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including case management systems, reporting tools and workflow efficiencies.
  • Maintain knowledge management resources, including SharePoint sites, procedures, guidance documents and training materials to support effective team collaboration.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable interest in scholarly publishing and research integrity.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong analytical and data management capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across the team.
  • Degree-level education.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar workflow management systems.
  • Experience working in academic publishing, research support, compliance, governance or a related environment.
