We’re looking for a curious, organised and proactive person to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in a brand new Publishing Business Development Coordinator role. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the growth of our business by helping identify and win new partners, explore innovative licensing models and bring new ideas to life. Working closely with the Head of Publishing Business Development and Conference Proceedings, you’ll play an important role in research, coordination and stakeholder engagement—helping to turn insight into action and opportunity into success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out research and analysis to identify trends and new opportunities
- Help develop proposals, bid documents, presentations and marketing materials
- Support RFP responses, including organising meetings and tracking progress
- Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data
- Contribute to AI and licensing opportunities
- Research new licensing models and emerging opportunities
- Support engagement with prospective customers
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal and Technology teams to assess and deliver opportunities
- Help coordinate contract preparation and content delivery
- Provide essential coordination and admin support
- Maintain internal systems, trackers and databases
- Organise meetings, workshops and events
- Support cross‑functional teams to stay aligned and informed
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about publishing, data and collaboration. You’ll bring:
- A degree (ideally in a physical science or related discipline, but not essential)
- A proactive mindset with a natural curiosity to explore and learn
- An interest in how scientific research is created and shared
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using digital tools, including MS Office and research information platforms
