IonQ, Inc. in Oxford is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Reliability Engineering team to keep our quantum computers running at peak uptime and to reduce operating costs.
You'll work closely with electrical, optical and science colleagues on mechanical designs and configuration management so improvements land in live systems. You will root-cause faults across mechanical, vacuum, cryogenic and thermal subsystems, prototype solutions, and write assembly instructions to roll out upgrades.
