You’ll be joining a talented team of Linux specialists who design, build and operate the platforms that power our business worldwide.
If you’ve come from a Systems Engineering, 3rd Line Support or Operations background, have experience building and operating Linux platforms, love troubleshooting and improving systems, and have a real passion for Open Source, you’ll fit right in.
What will you be doing?
- Building, maintaining and operating one of Europe’s largest email platforms
- Reviewing existing systems and recommending improvements
- Providing 3rd line support and working closely with 2nd line teams
Working hours
- 40hrs/week Monday to Friday
- Hybrid working policy – 2‑3 days/week in office
- On call requirement – rotational rota, remote
Key technologies used
- Docker, Podman
- Debian Linux
- Git, Ansible, Puppet
- HAProxy load balancer
- Scripting – BASH, Python
- Prometheus, Grafana
- ZFS filesystem
(Experience of all of these technologies is not essential, however you will need a willingness to learn.)
What experience do you need under your belt?
- Solid Linux server administration (Debian)
- Strong understanding of email technologies (IMAP, SMTP, POP3, DKIM, DMARC etc.)
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
- Configuration management experience (Puppet, SaltStack)
- Orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- SQL database knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle)
