Ionic Technologies are seeking am Operational EHSQ Manager to join the growing team at the Demonstration Plant.

The ideal candidate will be able to build, implement and manage an Integrated Management System, compliant with ISO standards.

This exciting role will require the right candidate to ensure safe and environmentally responsible working practices and compliance at the existing Demonstration Plant.

The role represents a unique opportunity for involvement in the design and delivery of the commercial plant, as well as the systems and resources required to ensure that it is constructed and operated at the highest level of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

In addition, regulation of magnet recycling is embryonic and this role represents an opportunity to work alongside some significant regulatory stakeholder locally and nationally, in order to shape practicable practises for this critically important activity.

What you'll do: Work with the existing team chemistry, engineering and operational teams to refine and update the EHSQ Management Systems for the demonstration plant Lead the obtaining and management of all environmental permits and licenses relating to Ionic Technologies facilities, primarily in Belfast, but with potential to support activities in other jurisdictions.

Improve and maintain EHSQ Management Systems, through strong Management of Change practises.

This will include working through a modest recent capital upgrade to the Demo Plant.

Ensure compliance with all HSE legislation, with support from our EHSQ consultants, who are assisting with GAP analyses of existing systems and compliance registers, as well as environmental permitting activity at the demo and commercial plants.

Conduct incident investigations and follow up with improvement actions, utilising RCA tools (Ionic Technologies typically use 5-whys).

Provide EHSQ communications dissemination to ensure all are fully informed of the latest incidents and actions, which will drive positive EHSQ culture Ensure the development of processes that will be appropriate for ISO certification Conduct internal audits of systems and processes, and ensure readiness for external audits from Internal Audit service, ISO auditors and regulators as needed.

Ensure that tasks are undertaken in accordance with work instructions and risk assessments, encouraging the team to report any incidents or hazards are reported Promote a healthy and open H&S culture to ensure that issues are resolved effectively and pragmatically, co-operating and engaging with the whole team.

Deliver on site EHSQ training and support the roll out of Group wide training initiatives Support the effective running of EHSQ Committees and Management Reviews.

Communicate HSE matters directly to Ionic Technologies Directors, offering solutions and practical implementation of positive H&S actions and most relevant performance metrics, as agreed by the EHSQ Manager and Directors.

Potential growth opportunity to co-ordinate the development and implementation of a Management System appropriate for ISO17025 accreditation.
