I am recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of up to three concurrent projects, supported by Site Managers and in-house commercial teams. This is a senior, hands-on role with full responsibility for programme, quality, health & safety, commercial performance and client relationships. The Project Manager will set project standards, represent the business at all key meetings, and drive performance across site and commercial teams. This role goes beyond a traditional Contracts Manager position, requiring deep involvement in both delivery and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for end-to-end project delivery
- Manage programme, quality, health & safety and profitability
- Act as principal client contact and attend all site and design team meetings
- Lead and coordinate Site Managers and project teams
- Drive problem-solving on site (design information, client decisions, subcontractor performance)
- Produce monthly reports, RFIs and contractor reports
- Develop, monitor and update project programmes
- Oversee site standards, quality and H&S compliance
- Support QS teams with final accounts, subcontractor management and financial queries
- Drive margin improvement and commercial performance
- Ensure timely and high-quality handovers
Project Types & Values

Current project values range from £1.4m to £11m, with multiple live residential and care schemes across the North West.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager on complex construction projects
- Strong residential background essential; care, education or commercial experience advantageous
- Commercially astute with strong programme management skills
- Confident leader able to manage multiple sites and teams
- Client-facing, professional and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working closely with QS and commercial teams
Team Structure
The successful candidate will join an established team of Project Managers and report directly to the Operations Manager.
