Ionic Recruitment are currently looking for a Site Manager on behalf of our client.
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a 6-month assignment on a new build retail project in Blackburn. The role involves overseeing groundworks, civils, externals, facades, and internal finishes on a New Build Retail development. £28 Per Hour. Unfortunately, no day rate option available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site activities for the new build retail scheme from groundworks through to internal fit-out.
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and site discipline.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and ensure timely reporting to senior management.
- Monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure full compliance with construction regulations.
- Deliver work to the standards expected on a Tier 1 regional contractor project.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing new build retail projects, ideally with a Tier 1 or strong regional contractor background.
- Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing including civils, facades, externals, and interiors.
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid required.
- Based within commutable distance of Blackburn.
