We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor for a permanent opportunity in Salford. The successful candidate will have a background within new build housebuilding and will support the commercial delivery of residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor project costs throughout the development lifecycle
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, tendering and appointments
- Prepare valuations, variations and cost reports
- Manage subcontractor payments and final accounts
- Work closely with construction, technical and commercial teams
- Monitor budgets and identify potential cost savings
- Ensure developments are delivered within agreed commercial targets
Requirements:
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within housebuilding (essential)
- Assistant QS or Quantity Surveyor level considered
- Strong understanding of residential construction and commercial processes
- Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement and cost management
- Excellent numerical, organisational and communication skills
- Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification preferred
Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and level.
