A growing drainage services provider is seeking a Drainage Assistant (Repairs) to support excavation, drain repair, and reinstatement works across the North West, Staffordshire, and West Yorkshire. Working alongside an experienced Drainage Engineer (Repairs), you will assist with site setup, excavation support, and repair activities while developing practical skills through hands-on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with site setup, excavation preparation, and establishing safe working areas in line with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Supporting excavation works including digging, spoil handling, trench preparation, and backfilling under supervision
- Assisting with drain repairs and reinstatement works as directed
- Maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition and reporting defects
- Helping record site information, photographs, and job details for digital reports
- Following all health and safety procedures, including PPE and site rules
- Recording working time and job activity in line with company procedures
- Developing knowledge of excavation techniques and reinstatement standards through training and experience
