My client is looking for a site manager in Leeds city centre to join their busy team on a fit out project. This is a temporary ongoing job.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end fit-out process, from initial site setup to final handover, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Subcontractor & Team Management: Coordinate, schedule, and lead diverse teams (joiners, electricians, plumbers) to ensure smooth workflow and quality output, preventing overlaps.
- Health & Safety: Implement and enforce strict H&S protocols, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure CDM regulations are met.
- Quality Control: Ensure all finishes, installations (ceilings, floors, bespoke joinery, services), and the final product meet client expectations and high-spec standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain site records, progress reports, method statements, site diaries, and report to the Project/Contracts Manager.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact, providing updates and fostering strong relationships with clients, designers, and internal teams.
- Logistics & Resource Management: Oversee material delivery, site cleanliness, security, and resolve unexpected issues.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial fit-outs, ideally with high-spec finishes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of H&S, CDM Regulations, and relevant building codes.
- Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid.
- Technical knowledge of internal trades and construction processes.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be hands-on.
