We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor for a permanent opportunity in Salford. The successful candidate will have a background within new build housebuilding and will support the commercial delivery of residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project costs throughout the development lifecycle
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, tendering and appointments
  • Prepare valuations, variations and cost reports
  • Manage subcontractor payments and final accounts
  • Work closely with construction, technical and commercial teams
  • Monitor budgets and identify potential cost savings
  • Ensure developments are delivered within agreed commercial targets

Requirements

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within housebuilding (essential)
  • Assistant QS or Quantity Surveyor level considered
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and commercial processes
  • Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement and cost management
  • Excellent numerical, organisational and communication skills
  • Relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification preferred

Salary

Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and level
