Due to continued growth, we are expanding our marketing capability and are currently seeking a skilled Marketing Executive to join our Magherafelt‑based team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Marketing Executive at Ionic IT, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our marketing strategy and brand development.

You will be responsible for building and executing the marketing and content strategy aligned with the wider sales strategy, ensuring all activity supports business growth.

This is a hands‑on yet strategic role, where you will not only execute campaigns but also contribute to planning the marketing and brand direction.

You will work closely with leadership, sales, and technical teams to translate business objectives into impactful marketing initiatives.

This role offers a clear opportunity to grow into a Marketing Manager position as the company continues to scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to and execute the overall marketing plan and brand plan; develop and build the marketing and content strategy aligned to the sales strategy
  • Create engaging content for website, social media, email campaigns, blogs, and case studies
  • Design marketing materials including graphics, brochures, presentations, and digital ads
  • Manage social media accounts and grow our online presence across Linked In and other platforms
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns and track performance metrics
  • Maintain website content and ensure brand consistency across all channels
  • Produce video content from concept through filming, editing, and publishing
  • Coordinate events, webinars, and exhibitions including logistics and promotional materials
  • Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics and social media insights
  • Support vendor co‑marketing initiatives and partnership activities
  • Manage the marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaigns
  • Collaborate with the technical team to translate IT services into clear, compelling messaging
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS & TOOLS
  • Design & Content Creation: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), or equivalent tools
  • Website & CMS: Word Press, basic HTML/CSS, and SEO fundamentals
  • Email & Automation: Hub Spot, Mailchimp, or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Social Media Management: Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, plus scheduling tools like Hootsuite or Buffer
  • Analytics & Reporting: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, social media insights
  • Video Production: Video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or Cap Cut
  • Photography: Camera operation and photo‑editing tools
  • Microsoft 365: Word, Power Point, Excel for reports and presentations
  • Advertising: Experience with Google Ads, Linked In Ads, or Facebook Ads Manager is beneficial

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the B2B or technology sector
  • Proven portfolio of marketing materials you’ve created (graphics, content, campaigns, videos)
  • Experience contributing to or developing marketing strategies aligned with business or sales goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into accessible content
  • Strong visual design skills and a keen eye for detail; self‑starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and learning about IT services and solutions
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend events and client meetings when needed
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
