As part of the procurement team, you will play a key part in helping bring to life the capabilities to meet the demands of a new tier one supplier for the Electrified application market. This includes establishing a new supply chain that can support the growing demand from prototype to series production for our markets including automotive. The procurement team supports the daily activities of the organisation for both production and non-production parts. An additional part of the role is having responsibility for organising inventory and supporting the smooth operation of our stores area.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant standards.
- Define project-specific quality requirements and create quality plans to meet regulatory and customer standards.
- Work with Design and manufacturing to develop and maintain program/project activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans and audit.
- Conduct internal audits, identify non-conformances, and collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions.
- Support document control processes, ensuring compliance with quality management system documentation requirements.
- Track and analyse quality metrics, providing reports and recommendations to management for quality improvements.
- Participate in quality training programs, providing guidance on QMS requirements to employees across the organization.
- Assist in preparing for and facilitating external audits, ensuring a successful certification process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality initiatives and drive process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Certified ISO-9001 internal auditor.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IATF-16949.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work within cross-functional teams and present findings to project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and problem-solving tools, such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of ISO-14001 and ISO-45001.
- Lean manufacturing (Six Sigma) certification would be beneficial.
- Demonstrable experience in quality systems or quality engineering, with hands-on experience in QMS implementation.
- Proven experience supporting quality management system development and improvement efforts, with strong project management skills.
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and quality reporting, with in-depth knowledge of document control practices.
