Senior Reporter, Industrials & Business Services

The Role:

ION Analytics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Reporter to join our London team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of Industrials & Business Services M&A reporting for Mergermarket and Dealreporter EMEA. This role demands a proactive journalist who can deliver exclusive scoops on potential and live M&A activity across Industrials & Business Services, from aerospace & defence to automaking, from packaging to plant machinery, from aftermarket services to specialty chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive reporting on EMEA-wide Industrials & Business Services M&A.
• Deliver timely, market-leading scoops on potential and live M&A activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Industrials bankers, executives, investors and deal advisors.
• Develop and expand your network of sources within the Industrials & Business Services segments.
• Collaborate with a global team to produce best-in-class journalism.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Extensive experience in financial journalism, with a focus on M&A.
• A robust contact book and excellent source relationships within the Industrials & Business Services industry.
• Strong technical expertise in technology and/or media M&A.
• A proven track record of delivering landmark exclusives.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A drive to develop your practice and advance your career within a dynamic, global business.
