The Role:
Blackpeak is expanding its EMEA practice and is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its London-based team. Our Senior Associates support clients’ due diligence and business intelligence needs through full-cycle case management, research, coaching, and quality control. Candidates should have relevant industry experience and a desire to be part of a diverse, high-quality team. This is a client-facing role with clients including investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, asset management companies, corporates, and law firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage investigative research assignments from request to delivery.
- Research and prepare client-ready reports, analyzing findings and human source inquiries for clear conclusions and actionable intelligence.
- Edit and quality control reports, coaching researchers as needed.
- Prepare competitive proposals in response to client RFPs.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in due diligence and business intelligence reporting.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in another European or Middle Eastern language (e.g., Russian, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish) is required.
- Proficiency in investigative research, including proprietary databases, media archives, and records research.
- Ability to convert research findings into client-ready reports.
- Experience managing cases from proposal to delivery, with resource and cost management skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for client discussions.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Understanding of concepts like sanctions, political exposure, financial crime, fraud, corruption, money laundering, tax evasion, and ESG.
