The Editorial People Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities of employees across the organization. This role focuses on coordinating learning initiatives, delivering impactful training, and fostering a culture of continuous development within the editorial and broader organizational context. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the growth of talent within the organization, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Editorial People Development in implementing & delivering our Learning & Development strategy aligned with the business needs and goals.
- Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of professional learning programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Assist in creating learning materials that are relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with managers to design personalized development plans aligned with individual career growth and business objectives.
- Deliver in-person and online training sessions focused on management, leadership, and a wide range of skill sets required within the editorial and organizational functions.
- Facilitate engaging learning interventions to support the development of editorial staff and management teams.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Produce comprehensive reports on learning and development activities to track progress, highlight achievements, and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong experience in Learning & Development or a related field, preferably within an editorial, publishing, or capital markets context.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs in both virtual and in-person environments.
- Skilled in leadership development, with relevant qualifications in these fields, e.g. CIPD, TAP, APTD, CPTD, Coaching, Change Management.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience in managing learning materials and records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly data-driven and analytical individual, skilled at leveraging data insights to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
Preferred:
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Skilled in coaching, with relevant qualification.
- Good project management skills.
- Proven experience in using eLearning platforms.
