Blackpeak is expanding its EMEA practice and is recruiting an Associate to join its London-based team. Associates support clients' due diligence and business intelligence needs through research and preparing integrity due diligence reports. We seek candidates with relevant industry experience who wish to be part of a high-quality, diverse team. Our clients include investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, asset management companies, corporates, and law firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and prepare client-ready reports, analyzing findings and human source inquiries to provide clear conclusions and actionable intelligence.
  • Contribute to business proposals and thought leadership pieces.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in preparing due diligence and business intelligence reports.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in at least one other European or Middle Eastern language such as Russian, French, German, Italian, Dutch, or Turkish.
  • Proficiency in investigative research, including familiarity with proprietary databases, media archives, and corporate and court records.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Understanding of concepts such as sanctions, political exposure, financial crime, fraud, corruption, money laundering, tax evasion, and ESG.
