This Leeds-based precision engineering business is looking for a CNC Miller Setter Operator with solid programming capability to join a close-knit machining team. The work is varied, the tolerances are tight, and the expectation is that you can hit the floor running.
What You'll Be Doing
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines from scratch
- Working with Fanuc, Heidenhain, and/or Siemens control systems
- Selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new programs
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out inspection and applying quality standards throughout the process
- Contributing to continuous improvement on the shop floor

What You'll Need
Essential:
- Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
- Competent with at least one of: Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls
- Ability to read engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances
- Solid understanding of tooling selection, offsets, and program prove-out
- Strong grasp of quality standards and inspection techniques
Desirable:
- Hands-on experience with XYZ CNC milling machines
- Background producing components across varied industry sectors
