A globally recognised manufacturer of critical aerospace components is urgently seeking 2 CNC Turners to support a surge in demand on a 13-week contract.
The Role
To support project requirements, you’ll be turning flanges in Inconel with the use of machine tools with Fanuc controllers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading tooling to carry out machining operations
- Working to fine tolerances across a range of materials
- Performing visual and dimensional inspections
- Using precision measuring equipment (shadowgraph, gauges, verniers)
- Operating one or more CNC machines simultaneously
- Ensuring all products meet customer and internal standards (including NADCAP and AS9100)
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a skilled, detail-focused engineer with experience in precision manufacturing.
Essential:
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 years experience in a precision manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred but not essential)
- Strong experience with Fanuc controls
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and strict quality standards
- Experience working to production targets
- Self-inspection with the use of hand tools, eg micrometers, vernier calipers
