We are looking for two experienced MIG Welders to join a well-established engineering business specialising in the fabrication of large bore pipework up to 24 inches in diameter for industrial applications. This is a workshop-based role working on heavy-duty fabrications where quality, consistency and attention to detail are essential.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the fabrication and MIG welding of carbon steel pipework and associated assemblies, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality welds that meet customer specifications.
  • MIG welding large bore pipework up to 24 inches in diameter.
  • Fabricating pipe assemblies from engineering drawings.
  • Preparing, fitting and aligning components prior to welding.
  • Producing high-quality welds to specification.
  • Carrying out visual inspection of completed welds.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

We are looking for:

  • Previous MIG welding experience on large diameter pipework or heavy fabrications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with carbon steel.
  • Good fabrication and fitting skills.
  • A strong appreciation for quality and accuracy.
  • Reliable, self-motivated approach to work.
