We're seeking a compassionate and proactive Clinical Health Technician to join a growing Occupational Health team supporting employees across a major engineering organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional healthcare settings and become part of a service that helps people stay healthy, safe, and productive at work.

Every day, you'll play a vital role in protecting employee health and wellbeing, working alongside Occupational Health Advisors and clinicians to deliver high-quality health screening, surveillance programmes, and clinical support services. No two days are the same. You'll be working across a variety of locations, meeting different people, developing specialist skills, and making a genuine impact on workforce health.

As a Clinical Health Technician, you'll be at the heart of our Occupational Health service, supporting the delivery of essential health assessments and clinical programmes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, and respiratory rate.
  • Supporting Occupational Health clinicians with assessments, medicals, and health surveillance programmes.
  • Performing routine clinical procedures such as ECGs, blood glucose monitoring, and phlebotomy (where trained).
  • Assisting with audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and other occupational health assessments.
  • Preparing equipment, clinics, and testing environments to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Providing a positive, professional, and supportive experience for employees attending appointments.
  • Supporting health promotion and wellbeing initiatives across company sites.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within a healthcare, clinical, care, or occupational health environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across West and South Yorkshire.

Desirable Skills

  • Phlebotomy experience or qualification.
  • Experience using clinical or healthcare IT systems.
  • Previous Occupational Health experience.
  • Audiometry, Spirometry, or Health Surveillance experience.
