This is anexcellent opportunity foran experienced electricianwho enjoys workingin a workshopenvironment, building, wiring, testing andcommissioning electricalsystems and controlpanels for industrialequipment and machinery.

The Role

As a Workshop Electrician, you willbe responsible forthe assembly, wiring, testing and faultfinding of electricalsystemsand equipmentto a highstandard.

Working closelywith our engineeringand production teams, you will ensureprojects are completedsafely, efficiently andto specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, wire andassembleelectrical control panelsand industrial equipment.
  • Read and interpretelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams andtechnical drawings.
  • Carry out electricalinstallation, testing andinspection of manufacturedequipment.
  • Diagnose and rectifyelectrical faults.
  • Ensure all workcomplies with currentelectrical regulationsand company qualitystandards.
  • Work collaboratively withmechanical engineers andproduction personnel todeliver projects ontime.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organisedworkshop environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical Qualification(City & Guilds, NVQLevel 3 orequivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Previous experience asa Workshop Electricianwithin an engineeringor manufacturing environment.
  • Abilityto read andinterpretelectricaldrawings and schematics.
  • Experience in panelwiring, machine wiringor industrial electricalassembly.
  • Strong fault-findingskills and attentionto detail.
  • Ability to workindependently and aspart of ateam.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with controlpanels, PLC wiringand industrial automation.
  • Knowledge ofthree-phase systems, motors, inverters andcontrol circuits.
  • Electrical testing andinspection experience.
  • Familiarity with machinerybuild and commissioning.
