We’re looking for a commercially minded Account Manager with strong knowledge of the London Insurance Market, particularly within broking, underwriting & claims. This is a client-facing role focused on relationship management, service delivery, and strategic growth across a portfolio of key accounts. You will need to be highly organised as well as willing to travel to different client locations around the UK, managing multiple recruitment workflows, and ensuring consistent delivery quality. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape client engagement strategies, run events, push out marketing campaigns, and feed into business development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who has a track record of managing recruitment accounts with value and volume, and now wants more ownership, variety, and a seat at the table as the business grows. Whilst this role is Hybrid the option is open to being completely remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the key point of contact for a large group of assigned accounts across underwriting, broking, claims & operations. Build strong, face to face relationships with hiring managers, HR, and stakeholders. Lead regular face to face client meetings, ensuring delivery alignment, performance updates, and future planning. Collaborate with recruitment consultants and the delivery team to ensure accurate, high-quality placements.
- Strategic Account Development: Identify areas for account growth through new functions, geographies, or hiring models. Pitch value-added services including market insights, salary benchmarking, and flexible hiring models. Proactively introduce our boutique RPO & consulting solution where relevant, tailoring proposals to the client’s growth and delivery needs. Leverage warm relationships within MGAs, brokers, syndicates, and carriers to uncover new briefs and project work.
- Delivery Oversight: Brief the remote delivery team on roles, client preferences, and required standards. Ensure candidates are well-matched, well-prepared, and well-managed throughout the process. Resolve any delivery issues quickly and with professionalism.
- Event & Client Engagement: Develop and lead client roadshows and educational sessions focused on navigating a candidate-driven market and hiring for high-demand roles. Plan and host tailored client events, such as networking evenings, roundtables, or entertainment-based functions. Represent Albion Blake at key insurance market events and conferences. Strengthen client loyalty through memorable and relevant engagement.
- Marketing & Communication: Collaborate with the marketing team to push out monthly campaigns featuring live roles, market insights, and thought leadership to your client base. Track campaign performance and share relevant content to support client activity. Ensure consistent, on-brand communication across all touchpoints.
- Commercial Performance: Work towards personal and team-based targets aligned with client retention, repeat business, and account expansion. Support fee forecasting, reporting, and data insights on account activity. Identify opportunities to cross-sell across claims, risk, technology, and transformation.
About you:
- 3+ years of experience in account management or delivery-focused recruitment (ideally insurance, financial services, or professional services).
- Deep knowledge or strong interest in the Insurance Market, particularly broking, underwriting, claims or broader financial services.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and stakeholders with professionalism and care.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to spot growth opportunities and contribute to strategic planning.
- Comfortable running client meetings, pushing marketing content, and representing the brand externally.
- Highly organised, collaborative, and solutions focused.
