We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events across all industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Events Manager – an exciting opportunity to contribute to IonOpticks’ international growth as it continues to redefine LC-MS in the field of proteomics globally.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, the Events Manager will be responsible for enhancing engagement with existing customers, expanding the customer base, supporting product releases, driving sales growth, and elevating the organisation’s overall brand presence through the planning, organising, and execution of all corporate events. These would include both established industry events and company events such as conferences, seminars, and promotional events in the UK and internationally. The Events Manager is expected to collaborate closely with various internal teams, based in the UK, USA and Australia to ensure seamless event experiences for your colleagues, our partners and event delegates.
What you will be doing
This is a hands-on role reporting to and supporting the Chief Brand Officer and will/may include the following on a day-to-day basis:
- Develop and activate IonOpticks’ global event management strategy
- Lead the planning, management, and execution of IonOpticks events, including trade shows, conferences, seminars, and webinars, in the UK and internationally
- Develop bespoke event concepts and themes as required
- Organise localised and regular IonOpticks-branded community events showcasing the company and its products to the local scientific and industry network
- Selecting and booking venues, suppliers, partners, coordinating colleague attendance including travel logistics
- Manage delegates before and after each event, maintaining invite and attendee lists, coordinating with the global sales teams for lead generation
- Coordinate the preparation of presentations for company representatives
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and industry associations/societies to support IonOpticks at regular events through sponsorship deals
What skills or experience you will need for this role
- A proven and successful track record as a project manager of complex international events preferably within the technology or life sciences sectors – booking, planning, organising and delivering
- Proven expertise in end-to-end event planning and execution, including budget management, logistics, and vendor relations, local and international
- The willingness and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Creativity and innovation in event concept and design, with a keen eye for detail and brand alignment
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools, as well as basic digital marketing platforms
