WHAT IS THE ROLE?
ION is recruiting a Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the successful, satisfactory and value driven project delivery of financial technology projects. The role requires someone who has exceptional customer engagement skills, a detailed and meticulous planner and execute to a schedule to measure and evaluate the outcome. The ideal candidate will be proactive, can move at speed with quality and assurance, collaborate within our delivery team. The role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (Newcastle upon Tyne).
WHAT WILL I DO?
- Plan and execute our projects using our delivery methodology, ensuring our teams and our customers perform their tasks, deliver the appropriate outcomes and achieve sign off at the appropriate points of the project.
- Work with our teams and customers to define clear roles and responsibilities and agree on the best way to work together throughout the project.
- Collaboratively design a plan that represents the delivery of the project with our teams and customers.
- Work with our teams in appropriately resourcing the required skills and expertise of resources onto the project based on availability and required delivery targets of the project.
- Execute with our teams and customers the required processes for identification and remedy of risks, issues and changes throughout the project.
- Set-up and execute the required reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle to provide trackable progress and insight to our Directors and customers.
- Actively monitor time and quality targets throughout the delivery of the project and perform any required actions or management as needed.
- Meet commercial objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis and reporting outcomes.
- Elevate to key representatives of management if an issue occurs during the project.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Report to project executive leadership and take an active role in issue resolution, planning and guiding the project.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in project management.
- Experience of using Project Management software.
- Understands basic commercial and revenue models, centred around invoicing, revenue recognition, margin and costs and analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Competent in use of different project methodologies.
- Exemplar project management delivery and engagement skills with strong previous experience and understanding of the delivery process lifecycle.
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organisational skills.
- Previous stakeholder management skills and confidence and gravitas in front of clients, project teams and 3rd parties.
- Experience of supporting the development of junior team members is desirable.
