Our specialization in ion implantation covers every step from R&D to production. Through our equipment manufacturing, maintenance, and process development services, we deliver innovative solutions across the entire value chain.
Your Role: As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot and repair of complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Work within a team manufacturing Ion Implantation Equipment.
- Perform assembly building and installation on all IBS products.
- Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals during the installation, debugging, and refurbishment/repair of IBS equipment.
- Complete standard documentation, procedures, forms, and comply with all ISO related procedures and processes.
- Follow all established cleanroom cleanliness requirements, procedures, and protocols.
- Building and Installing of all types of mechanical and electrical hardware.
- Cable build, termination and installation of all electrical equipment.
- Experience of wiring control panels.
- Using a range of hand tools.
Note: Initial training period provided to ensure a smooth integration and rapid impact.
Location: Bathgate (moving to the Eurocentral (Motherwell) area in summer 2026).
Your Profile Background: We are looking to hire a multi-skilled Manufacturing Engineer with solid experience with industrial machinery.
Prerequisites: Time-served, with an HNC/Equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or closely-related subject, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of electrical-mechanical integration.
- Strong and versatile technical problem solver.
- High level of practical electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to apply ingenuity and logic to build complex modules and sub-assemblies that cover all aspects of electrical/electronic and mechanical hardware and control.
