ioMosaic is seeking an experienced chemical or process engineer to support our UK office, located in Bath, with its work in process and safety engineering design. The ideal candidate will have experience in the petrochemical and chemical industry. Our work typically involves problem-solving using various industry standard software as well as our own proprietary Process Safety Office SuperChemsTM. The individual must therefore be technically comfortable with using simulation software in a process engineering context.
The individual must possess strong project management and people skills and be comfortable with writing proposals, interfacing with our clients, and delivering project work leading small teams of junior engineers. The position will involve some travel away from the office to client sites as part of project delivery.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Pressure Relief and Flare Systems (PRFS) Design experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industry.
- Support HAZOP, HAZID, and other workshop-based activities (experience as a HAZOP leader is advantageous but not essential).
- Supporting quantified risk analysis and safety verification studies.
- Supporting process safety audits and incident investigation activities.
- Writing articles, abstracts, and presenting at industry conferences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience either within industry or with industry contractors and consultants.
- Applicants should be legally eligible to work in the UK; we do occasionally sponsor exceptional candidates for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Note that the position is ‘in-office’; flexible work is not currently offered.
