Role Overview
Your primary role is to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions by leading the testing process across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, manage test cycles, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve issues before release.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, project, and development teams to define clear testing objectives.
- Review and analyze system specifications to ensure they meet testing standards.
- Develop detailed test conditions and scripts covering business and technical use cases.
- Utilize existing tools and develop new scripts to execute test cases and validate functionality.
- Run automated test suites and analyze results, driving continuous improvement in software quality.
- Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes.
- Document, track, and escape issues as appropriate, maintaining high standards of communication.
- Support production deployments and conduct validation testing during off‑hours maintenance windows.
- Act as a technical support escalation point for critical issues reported by users.
- Meet project deadlines by managing testing schedules effectively.
- Deliver software that meets or exceeds quality standards and acceptance criteria through rigorous testing.
Qualifications
- Higher degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field (Bachelor or above).
- Typically 4 years’ experience in Test Engineering.
- Experience in test automation and setting up a new framework.
- API testing experience.
- Experience with distributed systems and network; performance and security testing experience is a plus.
- Experience in an Agile setup (Scrum, Kanban).
- Testing methodology background (preferably ISTQB or ISEB certified).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
- Proficient in test automation and scripting; experience with Rust or similar functional languages is desirable.
