We're growing fast and to do that we need the best people possible for the team. Our Maidenhead RapidSwitch Provisioning team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for a Server Provisioning Technician to work across lots of different technologies and software. You'll help keep our customers happy by fulfilling orders and troubleshooting any issues with all things servers.
Here's a quick list of what you'll be up to on a day to day basis:
- Processing customer orders and building servers to custom specifications, communicating updates and collaborating to reach delivery times.
- Preparing server racks for our automated provisioning system, including racking, cabling and installing servers to maintain stock levels.
- Repurposing server hardware, assisting shift teams with BAU tasks, and collaborating with technical teams for great exposure to the dedicated server hosting sector.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Have basic IT hardware experience (this can be personal as well as enterprise level so if you've been building and troubleshooting computers for friends and family then we want to hear from you).
- Have basic experience or knowledge of OS installations.
- Have a good understanding of customer service.
- Have a passion for all things IT and want a great first-step into the industry.

RapidSwitch part of the Iomart Group is a leading Bare Metal service provider in the UK. Founded in 1999 and have been a part of the Iomart Group since 2009. We have a highly experienced team, all based in our Maidenhead office, who support over 1000 customers, across over 7500 devices. Our teams get to work with a range of devices & technologies, including (but not limited to):
- Dell Servers - using both Intel & AMD chipsets.
- HPE servers - using both Intel & AMD chipsets.
- GPU servers - used by our customers for machine learning, AI, and high data-load processing.
- Storage devices.
- Networking devices, including security devices.
We also work with a wide range of customers & businesses, everything from gaming to health-care. Our Maidenhead office is attached to Iomart Group's flagship Data Centre, where the majority of our customers are hosted. No matter what your role is within RapidSwitch, you'll get to work in a collaborative-initiative atmosphere, & work closely with experts in this field.
