As our VMware Sales Specialist you will engage with new and existing customers and partners to identify new hosting opportunities in Iomart’s key areas of focus such as Managed Private Cloud, Iomart Multi-Tenanted Hosting Platforms, Security and Connectivity. You’ll be experienced in selling Private Cloud technology solutions with a deep understanding of VMware’s VCF cloud platform, and generating revenue through securing managed hosted clients, delivered by our expert team of architects and consultants. Working closely with the commercial, pre-sales and consultancy team you’ll create compelling customer solutions and drive VCF usage over Private Cloud and Multi-Tenant platform utilisation, selling the value of VCF and displacing other platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities for Private and Multi-tenanted Cloud hosting through effective research, networking, cold calling, referrals and own channels.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of proposals and present sales documentation according to customer needs and objectives.
- Forecast opportunities and manage the progress of these opportunities through the sales process ensuring accuracy of information on the CRM.
- Communicate and report clearly on the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in selling Private Cloud services, with a particular emphasis on VMware’s VCF cloud platform and benefits over the use of Hyperscalers.
- Can demonstrate experience in upselling other services e.g. consultancy, managed services, disaster recovery services, backup and colocation.
- Have the ability to articulate benefits of Private Cloud and engage in wider TCO conversations with C-Level prospects.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, enabling the presentation of commercial aspects of solutions.
- Have a “can-do attitude” with excellent attention to detail.
