In this role, you’ll be a key part of our Purchase Ledger function, ensuring accuracy, control, and exceptional service across all financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Complete cashflow projections and support the wider team with ad‑hoc financial reporting.
- Prepare and process monthly payment runs in line with company procedures, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Review and analyse invoice nominal coding, checking accuracy and ensuring all data is entered correctly.
- Verify employee expenses and credit card transactions, confirming full compliance with the company expense policy.
- Act as an escalation point for supplier queries, working collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain and update process notes, contributing to team knowledge and assisting with training across the Purchase Ledger team.
- Support ongoing finance transformation projects, helping modernise and streamline the way we work.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Have experience working in an accounts department in a similar role or you’re a finance graduate looking to build a career in Accounts Payable.
- Have a clear and precise understanding of company policies and procedures relating to the Accounts Payable function.
- Bring strong Excel skills, with confidence analysing and managing financial data.
- Possess a sharp eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in every aspect of data entry and invoice processing.
- Enjoy working collaboratively, communicate professionally, and take pride in providing excellent service to colleagues and suppliers.
- Are proactive, organised, and comfortable taking ownership of your workload and deadlines.
Salary: £25-£30k dependent on experience + benefits
