What you'll be doing
As our Multi Skilled Electrical Facilities Engineer you’ll provide all-round engineering support, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Data Centres.
You will have a deep understanding of Building Services systems and be responsible for complying with Health & Safety and building codes of practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within mission-critical environments where reliability, resilience and operational excellence are paramount.
It will be a mobile role covering sites across the UK with a focus on the North of England and Scotland and you will also be part of an on call rota.
As a hands-on engineer, you will work closely with the Data Centre Operations Team, responsible for the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our building and critical infrastructure systems across our data centre estate.
The successful candidate will possess strong electrical expertise combined with a solid understanding of mechanical and building services systems.
Working within a 24/7 critical environment, you will ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with operational procedures and industry best practices.
We want to hear from you if you
- Have a good understanding of Facilities Management and Electrical Systems
- Have experience of Preventative Planned Maintenance Management.
- Have a good knowledge of Data Centre plant and equipment including LV electrical distribution systems, UPS, Static Switches, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, Transformers, Cooling
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Have experience working safely under permit-to-work systems, knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work
- Have experience in change control in mission critical environments.
- Computer literate, with strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Have a good understand of Building Management Systems and project management processes
- Are qualified to City and Guilds 2365 Level 3 – Electrical Installations and BS 7671-18th Edition Amendment 4 (BS 7671:2018+A4:2026) along with a full UK Driving Licence.
- Even better if you have experience of any of the following :-
- HV/LV Authorised Person experience
- IOSH Working Safely or Managing Safely
- Data Centre operational experience
- Generator, UPS or switchgear maintenance experience
- F-Gas qualification
- Experience using CAFM systems
- Understanding of ISO standards and compliance processes
