We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of Iomart's Cloud Services business unit. This is a pivotal role within the Group, forming part of the senior management team and directly influencing strategic and operational decision-making.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, driving performance insights, and ensuring robust financial controls across the business unit covering c£100m of Group revenue.
In addition, you will:
- Prepare monthly Executive Packs for business unit management and Group reporting.
- Own divisional P&L, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting standards.
- Oversee monthly close processes, financial controls, and ensuring segregation of duties.
- Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor performance, and report variances with actionable insights.
- Identify cost efficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Manage data centre CAPEX budget and spend, collaborating with stakeholders to develop business cases.
- Be involved in the transformation to a new finance system.
- Support half-year and year-end audit processes.
- Mentor and develop staff within the finance function.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Are a qualified accountant with at least 5 years' post qualification experience.
- Have a proven track record in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial teams and senior leadership.
- Can demonstrate experience in a recurring revenue business model.
- Have a strong track record in cost control, efficiency improvements, and driving continuous process enhancements.
- Have solid systems knowledge, with exposure to upgrades and process improvement projects (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central advantageous).
- Are confident working with large and complex data sets.
