IOM3, the leading professional body for the materials, minerals and mining sectors, is looking for a Digital Marketing & Communications Apprentice to join our London team on a fixed-term 18-month apprenticeship.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing & Communications team at a time of growth and transformation.
Working alongside experienced marketing and communications professionals, you'll support the planning, delivery and evaluation of campaigns that engage members, partners and stakeholders across the materials, minerals and mining sectors.
You'll gain practical experience across digital marketing, social media, website content, email marketing, audience engagement, reporting and campaign analysis, while developing valuable skills through a structured apprenticeship programme.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of marketing, communications and engagement campaigns
Create and publish content for websites, email marketing, newsletters and social media
Assist with audience research, campaign reporting and performance analysis
Support partnership communications, advocacy activity and stakeholder engagement
Coordinate social media content and campaign materials
Provide communications support for events and organisational initiatives
Help maintain marketing systems, assets and processes
The ideal candidate
We're looking for someone who:
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Is highly organised and pays close attention to detail
Enjoys creating content and engaging audiences through digital channels
Is confident using social media and other digital platforms
Can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Is keen to learn new technologies, digital tools and AI applications
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, or analytics tools, or creating content through work, education, or personal projects, would be an advantage but is not essential.
More about the apprenticeship arrangements
Training will be delivered by JGA Group, with all learning taking place remotely.
The apprenticeship is typically completed over 17 months, including 13 months of training followed by 4 months of end-point assessment.
You will spend at least 20% of your working hours undertaking off-the-job training.
The programme includes twice-monthly half-day seminars, 1:1 skills coaching sessions, project work, portfolio development activities, and online learning designed to help you develop, apply, and demonstrate your knowledge in the workplace.
Dedicated support is provided throughout by a Tutor, Skills Coach, Learner Progress Advisor, and your line manager.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship Standard.
