At IOLLA we're looking for a Creative Assistant to join our team. IOLLA is a Scottish, independent eyewear brand on a mission to make people look and feel great. We design and sell beautifully made glasses at one honest price, across our showrooms and online. The Creative Assistant is the connective tissue of our creative team. You'll help keep content, campaigns and creative projects moving, staying close to trends and customers, organising the work behind the scenes, and creating the conditions for great creative work to happen. It’s a hands‑on, fast moving role with real ownership and variety. You’ll work across content, campaigns, community activity, events and digital marketing, supporting the wider team while developing a broad understanding of how a modern brand operates.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a career in content, creative marketing, social media, brand, PR or creative production.

What you’ll do

  • The role involves shooting and campaign support, content capture and brand coverage, content organisation and workflow, community partnership, research and digital marketing support.
  • Shoot and campaign support: Prepare call sheets, mood boards and campaign materials. Provide coordination and admin support across campaigns and projects, helping keep deliverables, timelines and check‑ins on track. Comfortable being on camera. Support content capture on shoots and in showrooms where needed (behind‑the‑scenes, lo‑fi, product).
  • Content Capture & Brand Coverage: Attend campaign launches, showroom events, pop‑ups and brand activities to capture content live; this is a core, regular part of the role, not occasional. Be present in showrooms on a regular basis to capture product, customer and behind‑the‑scenes content, and to stay close to how the brand shows up in real life. Cover events end‑to‑end on the day: photo and lo‑fi video capture, behind‑the‑scenes, customer and guest moments, ready to hand to social and the wider team. Travel across our showroom locations as needed, with some evening and weekend work around events and launches.
  • Content organisation and workflow: Support the planning, organisation and scheduling of content across social media channels. Help manage community engagement, including DMs, comments and customer interactions. Maintain content, asset and file libraries, ensuring work is organised and accessible. Quality‑check content before publication to ensure accuracy, consistency and brand alignment. Support content planning and calendar management across campaigns and projects.
  • Community, Partnership & Brand Activity: Upload and maintain content across PR and media platforms. Research potential influencers, creators, partners and collaboration opportunities. Coordinate gifting activity, including logistics, tracking and reporting. Support event delivery: guest lists, supplier chasing, run‑sheets and on‑the‑day support. Collate coverage, influencer content and partnership results.
  • Research, trends and inspiration: Lead trend research, competitor analysis and creative inspiration gathering to feed campaigns and brand development. Stay close to the customer through time in showrooms, DMs and campaign feedback, and bring that insight back to the Creative Team.
  • Digital Marketing Support: Assist with proofing copy, checking links and sense‑checking emails and web pages. Carry out routine website checks: banner and imagery swaps, basic content and product updates, broken‑link checks.

About you

  • A genuine eye for design, content and culture: you notice what's good and why.
  • Brilliantly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and keep everyone aligned.
  • Confident with social platforms and how content performs across them.
  • Comfortable getting hands‑on with content capture (phone‑first filming and photography is plenty to start).
  • Clear, warm communicator who can work across a busy team.
  • Curious, proactive and keen to learn.
  • A feel for the IOLLA brand and tone, and a customer‑first instinct.
  • Familiarity with content creation and scheduling tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe).
  • An interest in retail, design, fashion or eyewear.

What you’ll get

  • A competitive salary based on experience.
  • Complimentary eyewear.
  • A generous friends and family discount.
  • Access to our Retail Trust benefits platform.
  • Free on‑site parking at our HQ.
  • The chance to help shape an ambitious, creative brand during an exciting period of transformation.
