A passion for fantasy worlds has long been ingrained in our studio, and at last we can announce we have embarked on a journey into that beloved realm. With a party of veteran IOI guild members and new wizards and sorceresses of the industry, we are building an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will revolutionise the online fantasy RPG genre. We are looking for a talented Senior Game Designer (Player) to come on board and be a part of this exciting new chapter with us. If you’re passionate about crafting dynamic and engaging characters that players will stand for years to come, we’d love to have you in our guild. This is a permanent position based in one of our studios, with the option to work from home one day per week.
What you will do:
- Conceptualise, design and iterate to create distinctive player characters with unique abilities tailored to enhance gameplay experiences.
- Collaborate with narrative designers and animators to integrate compelling characters with dynamic abilities and exciting move sets.
- Participate in regular play sessions to collect feedback and implement adjustments that will perfect player dynamics and interactions.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices in player design and development.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in game design, with a specific focus on character design in the AAA games industry.
- Proven track record in designing iconic characters with memorable personalities and skill sets.
- Strong ability to collaborate across various teams, including art and programming to ensure cohesive integration.
- Experience with balancing and tuning player character abilities in multiplayer environments.
- Exceptional communication skills that convey complex ideas in a simple manner.
