Job Description:
IO Interactive is an independent video game development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Brighton and Istanbul. As the creative force behind some of the most talked-about multiplatform video games in the last decade, we are dedicated to creating unforgettable characters and experiences – all powered by our award-winning proprietary Glacier technology.
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join us in either Brighton or Copenhagen. You’ll be the fourth full-time member of our legal team, alongside one student assistant, with another joining soon. We support the entire studio and help keep things running smoothly as we support Hitman and build 007 First Light, Project Fantasy, and more.
This is a great role if you’re early in your legal career and want to move fast, work broadly, and be close to the teams making the games. It’s a wide-ranging, hands-on position where you’ll use your legal training every day, not in a vacuum, but across all major contract negotiations at IOI. That includes talent deals for our Elusive Targets in Hitman (with actors like Mads Mikkelsen and Sean Bean), composers for the 007 First Light game, large-scale development agreements, publishing deals, and more.

- Support teams across the business with day-to-day legal questions
- Keep templates and internal workflows up to date
- Help ensure compliance on privacy, IP, marketing, and similar topics
- Coordinate with external counsel when needed

- Around 1–2 years of relevant experience – in-house, private practice, or similar
- A pragmatic, clear, structured approach to legal work
- Confidence working directly with non-lawyers across disciplines
- An interest in games or entertainment is a plus, not a requirement
