IO Interactive is an independent video game development and publishing studio, best known for the HITMAN franchise. Behind our game teams, strong support functions ensure that our people, systems, and processes scale efficiently. We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Student Assistant to join our Operations Excellence team and contribute hands‑on to the systems and integrations that power our studio. The Systems Specialist Student Assistant will work closely with the Operations Specialist on designing, implementing, and maintaining business‑critical systems, automations, and integrations across our Support Function Departments. This role sits within the Operations Excellence Department and is open on‑site in our Barcelona & Brighton studios. Sadly, we cannot offer relocation for this role. Hourly paid 15‑20 hours a week.
What you will do:
- Continuously work with key stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for improvements within our core operations systems (including systems such as Copilot Agents, Claude Agents, JIRA, HiBob, Prophix, Unit4, and more) – reducing manual workload on operations staff and improving functionality.
- Contribute to our AI initiatives in Operations – working closely with the Operations Specialist to further develop and expand our in‑house AI Assistant.
- Help maintain data quality across our Operations Systems – ensuring that systems are designed to contain the right data and that the data inside them is kept up to date.
- Support larger implementations of new systems in Operations.
- Support users with continuous onboarding and training in the utilization of our systems.
Who you are:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree programme (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or similar).
- Genuine interest in system integrations, APIs, automation, and data flows.
- Comfortable working with or eager to learn enterprise software, REST APIs, and low‑code/no‑code platforms such as Power Automate or Copilot Studio.
- Structured, self‑driven, and able to take ownership of tasks and see them through with guidance from the Operations Specialist.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
We would love it if you had:
- Experience or coursework involving system design, databases, or software development.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Power BI, or any HR/ERP/FP&A system.
- Experience supporting AI‑driven tools or internal knowledge systems.
