A privately held engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to support industrial and energy sector projects across the U.S. Gulf Coast. This role is well suited for an engineer who values technical ownership, independent decision–making, and meaningful project impact in a lean, engineering–driven environment.
The position includes responsibility as Mechanical Engineer of Record for assigned scopes, with a strong emphasis on rotating equipment and U.S. code compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Mechanical Engineer of Record (PE) for assigned project scopes
- Perform and review mechanical engineering deliverables, including:
- Rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, drivers, auxiliaries)
- Piping systems, equipment layouts, and mechanical calculations
- Pressure vessels, tanks, and static equipment
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas and/or Louisiana
- 5–15 years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial or energy facilities
- Strong background in rotating equipment engineering
- EPC or EPCm project experience
- Working knowledge of:
- ASME B31.1, B31.3
- ASME Section VIII
- API 610, API 650, API 620
- Oversight of pump and compressor packages
- Coordination with international engineering teams
- Construction and commissioning support
- Participation in mechanical system optimization or R&D initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
